Department of Information Management and Information System

Founded in 1999, the Department of Information Management and Information System currently offers two undergraduate degree programs (Information Management and Information System, E-Commerce). Cooperates with other departments, the department offers four master’s degree programs (Management Science and Engineering, System Engineering, International Trade, International Business), one first-class discipline doctoral degree program (Management Science and Engineering), and one post-doctoral research station (Management Science and Engineering). Main research fields of its faculty include: e-commerce, business data analysis and intelligent optimization algorithms, IT strategic planning, management information system and enterprise resource planning, business intelligence and decision support system, complex networks, etc.

Department of Industrial Engineering

Founded in 1993, the Department of Industrial Engineering currently offers one undergraduate degree program (Industrial Engineering), three master’s degree programs (Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Project Management), and one first-class discipline doctoral degree program (Management Science and Engineering). Main research fields of its faculty include: scheduling of complex system, equipment intelligent maintenance management, social complex networks, new product development and design, etc.

Department of Pubic Administration

Founded in 2001, the Department of Public Administration currently offers one undergraduate degree program (Public Service Administration), and two first-class discipline master’s degree programs (Administration, Educational Economy and Management). Main research fields of its faculty include: administration, public policy, education management, etc.

Department of Business Administration

Founded in 1994, the Department of Business Administration offers five undergraduate programs (BusinessAdministration—Sino-US Cooperative,Business Administration—Entrepreneurial Management, Business Administration—Marketing, Business Administration—second major, Business Administration—second degree), one first-class discipline master’s degree program (Business Administration), and three second-class master’s degree programs (Business management, Labor Economics, Technical Economics and Management). Main research fields of its faculty include: behavior management system, executive team, corporate strategy, innovation management, human resource management, financial management, marketing, technical economics and management technology, etc.

Department of Accounting

Founded in 1988, the Department of Accounting offers one undergraduate degree program (Accounting) and one master’s degree program (Accounting). Main research fields of its faculty include: financial accounting theory and methods, management accounting and corporate finance, auditing theory and methods, etc.

Department of International Economy and Trade

Founded in 1994, the Department of International Economy and Trade offers one undergraduate degree program (International Economy and Trade), three second-class discipline master’s degree programs (International Trade, Regional Economics and Industrial Economics), and one professional master’s degree program (Master of International Business). Main research fields of its faculty include: international trade theory and policy, norms of international trade in goods, international trade in services, world economic history, e-commerce development policies and transaction security, international logistics and supply chain management, development strategic and regional economic, urban and regional economics , industrial economics, strategic management and corporate culture.

Department of Finance

Founded in 1991, the department of Finance offers one undergraduate degree program (Finance), three master’s degree programs (Finance, Fiscal Science, National Economy). Main research fields of its faculty include: international finance, public finance, commercial banking operations and management financial engineering, investments, insurance, securities investment and practice, tax law, financial market, etc.

Department of System Science

Founded in 1979, the Department of System Science currently offers one undergraduate degree program (Management Science), three graduate degree programs (System Science, System Engineering, System Analysis and Integration), and one doctoral degree program (System Analysis and Integration). Main research fields of its faculty include: non-smooth system optimization, complex networks and applications, financial engineering, intelligent algorithms, biological system engineering, etc.

Department of Transportation System Engineering

Founded in 1995, the Department of Transportation System Engineering currently offers one undergraduate degree program (Traffic Engineering), one first-class discipline master’s degree program (Traffic and Transportation Engineering). Main research fields of its faculty include: traffic planning and design, traffic information engineering and control, traffic simulation and evaluation, intelligent transportation system, etc.

Professional Degree Education Center (MBA)

USST is one of the education units approved by the China Academic Degrees Committee that offers MBA (Master of Business Administration) program. In 2004, USST Business School began to recruit full-time graduate students of MBA (Double cert.). Through multiple educational models, such as interactive case study, scenario simulation teaching, practice and internship, enterprise lecture series, English salon, courses in English, and international exchanges, USST Business School MBA program aims to nurture students to be professionals who have both global perspective and local view, master solid theoretical basis and outstanding application skills.

Professional Degree Education Center (MEM)

USST is one of the education units approved by the China Ministry of Education that offers MEM (Master of Engineering Management) program. In 2013, USST Business School began to recruit full-time graduate students of MEM. USST Business School MEM education focus on fostering student’ s understanding and grasping engineering management knowledge, including system engineering, quality management, production management, etc. The program puts emphasis on quantitative analysis methods in project management, engineering management, logistics engineering and so on, which aims to effectively improve the level of engineering management through learning the theories and methods in this field.
